Mini-Informercial for the Redema

Here’s one way to see the Redema Ottoman Footrest in practical action — my nine-year old son Ian’s first mini-infomercial, demonstrating the Redema in his own way. (He’d like to dedicate this pitch to the memory of Billy Mays, his inspiration for him to try this. He loved watching Billy in “Pitchmen,” and his many commercials.)

A Finalist Again with Edison Nation

I just wanted to share with you the latest news that once again the Redema Ottoman Footrest has reached the Finalist stage with Edison Nation, a group that helps inventors (I like the term product developer, myself) get their products to market. You may have seen their show on PBS.

I reached the finalist stage for the first time this summer with Bed, Bath and Beyond via Edison Nation, but did not succeed in being selected at that time. I’m in the running for some other opportunities with Bed, Bath and Beyond, as well as some other fine companies, but it will be some months before I know how those turn out.

This recent achievement of reaching Finalist status is with a much bigger retailer, and I confess I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell. Suffice it to say it is the largest in the world. It is also one of the most challenging to contact with new ideas. So, I have to say I’m just a little excited that the Redema will at least get a passing glance from some powerful eyes. (I’ll still have to wait a number of weeks before I know if I’ve achieved the Success level, but Thanksgiving will certainly be abundant in every way if I should!)

I’m thrilled I’ve gotten this far, but it has been very satisfying to know how much the Redema has helped so many people. Thank you to those of you who have been willing to test out this new product, and even more thanks to those of you who have graciously shared your stories in return. They are priceless.

I truly hope the day will come soon you can proudly say, “I got one of the originals,” as your friends and family go to buy a Redema Ottoman Footrest for themselves in a well-known store. Then our wonderful little secret for portable and adjustable comfort will be out, won’t it?

Here’s to your comfort,
Karen

Can’t afford an adjustable bed?

Just a few days ago, I a local woman obtained a Redema for her husband who has had multiple back surgeries, and he desired some kind of elevated support while in bed. My grandmother continues to use hers for one of her legs when she sleeps. I’ve had other customers tell me they’ve purchased a Redema for similar reasons so they could get elevation for their legs and feet but while lying down.

For some of us it might be to improve circulation, others to relieve pain, while for others it may be to reduce swelling or a combination of these. Compared to the expensive adjustable beds out there, the Redema is a much more affordable, but still adjustable option for lower-body elevation.

Why don’t you click here to find out for yourself if the Redema Ottoman Footrest could serve you or a loved one with better comfort and perhaps health, too?

The Redema at the Little Ears Expo 2009

You may have caught from my Twitter or Facebook posts that I went to the Little Ears Expo last Saturday, July 25th, which was sponsored by Z88.3, our local Christian radio station in the Central Florida area. (Visit http://zradio.org to listen online anywhere — How’s that for a free visit to Orlando?) The expo was held in Faith Hall at the First Baptist Church of Orlando.

We immediately ran into Tyler, one of the radio personalities there, as she was on break in the snack room area. She’s pregnant with her second child, and my son Ian offered one of our Redemas in tow to borrow to rest up for her presentation. She told us she is using her Redema at home that was donated some time ago to Z88.3, which was very nice to hear — her Redema must be holding up pretty well! (Ian is enjoying getting to know Tyler from the other Z88.3 events they have held this summer, and matching faces with radio voices has been quite a brush with local greatness for him! In college, I worked at a Christian radio station as an announcer during my senior year, and it was a blast — so it is neat to see who is in front of the microphone these days for me as well.)

Modeling the Multilevels of the Redema

Modeling the Multilevels of the Redema

We then walked around, talking to different people there about the Redema Ottoman Footrest — moms of young ones, grandmothers, but most importantly the vendors who were targeting their products and services to these special ladies. One of the vendors we enjoyed meeting is just starting a new business as an on-location photographer named Kelli Todtenhagen of Winter Springs. Kelli and her business partner, Bekah Murray, were willing to do a sitting for us, modeling the Redemas we had — that’s not something you get a photographer to do everyday, is it? Bekah confessed she has circulation issues, so the height was a welcome change. It seems both of them enjoyed getting their feet up with dignity, don’t you think? Kelli can be reached at 407-461-8815 and will travel to most areas in Central Florida, I’m told.

Central Florida Birth Network Rests a Bit

Central Florida Birth Network Rests a Bit

In addition, we met up with a number of birth centers and networking groups. Among them was the Central Florida Birth Network, found at www.centralfloridabirthnetwork.com, where information can be found about doulas to yoga to lactation and more. One of the members also modeled using a Redema, but this was a first with an exercise ball!

Just before we left, we briefly met with Heart 2 Heart Birth Center, which can be found at www.h2hbirthcenter.com. They loved hearing my story about how my Redema was so helpful during my pregnancies, recovery from my c-section and support while nursing. Delightfully, I was invited to present sometime this fall at their center, and I can hardly wait. This group is very professional and caring, and I look forward to getting to know them and their services better.

All in all, the Little Ears Expo was a terrific event: Vendors of all kinds, generously sharing information and support to help moms get through the tough stuff a bit easier. My only sorrow is this event wasn’t around when I was pregnant with each of my guys! It was a pleasure to be there, and I look forward to next year’s event!

Little Ears Expo with Z88.3

I’m heading out to visit the Little Ears Expo that Z88.3, our local Christian radio station, is sponsoring at the First Baptist Church of Orlando. It is being held right now at Faith Hall until 3pm today, Saturday, July 25th. More information about this event for mommies of young ones can be found here: http://zradio.org/index/promo/little_ears_expo/

Being that the Redema was originally designed to give this formerly pregnant mom some portable, adjustable relief from her swelling, or edema, I’m off to share my solution for discomfort, especially during that last trimester and after delivery. I’m offering a free shipping and handling coupon in honor of this event. Type in Z88lee in the coupon code by Monday, July 27th.

To your comfort — especially to moms of those with little ears! Hope I will or did meet you there at the Little Ears Expo!

Mini-Infomercial for the Redema

Here’s one way to see the Redema Ottoman Footrest in practical action — my nine-year old son Ian’s first mini-infomercial, demonstrating the Redema in his own way. Meet Me in Ft. Lauderdale

Here’s a video of me and many other product developers at the South Florida Inventor’s Expo back in February 2009. Watch the intro, and then either enjoy the full program of about 24 minutes (the ideas are definitely inspiring or entertaining), or go to about 5:11 on the counter to meet me, Karen Tinsley-Kim, Product Developer of the Redema Ottoman Footrest.

Christmas in July Sale

Sounds nice, doesn’t it? (I enjoy continue to enjoy this pleasure everyday of resting my legs and feet with my Redema, even while I work!) Even better, how about sharing this restorative, lightweight, adjustable summer joy with someone you love?

Better than a Beanbag?

I was reading a local newspaper article declaring that beanbags are back in style. There are some interesting options out there today, I must say. Among the ones discussed in the article though, there was one that wasn’t a beanbag at all — it was an ottoman, or hassock, decorated in textured floral cloth flowers for a just under $400. (If this is in your budget, visit moderndose.com.)

Although I do like the look of this ottoman, it has the same problem I’ve had with most footrests and ottomans: You have to leave them, looking pretty perhaps, in one place. I much prefer being able to take my comfort wherever and whenever I want to. Wouldn’t you or someone you love desire that, too?

Is the Redema Ottoman Footrest better than a beanbag? You betcha! Being comfortable and looking good while enjoying it is a combination that is tough to top. I guarantee you’re happy with your Redema or send it back within 30 days for a full refund of your purchase price. Click here to learn more.

Would you like to help others be more comfortable?

Here’s a quick post to say, “I’m looking for help, and I’m willing to pay for it!” The Redema is continuing to sell well to those who need a solution to pain relief or comfort wherever they go. Seniors, pregnant/nursing women, frequent air travelers, those who have short legs, chronic pain issues or recently suffered a temporary setback have claimed they have benefited from the use of a Redema Ottoman Footrest.

But, my realm is limited by the time I can put forth. If you are a Redema believer like me, and would like to join me in my mission to help people sit and rest more comfortably, drop me a line at admin@redema.us expressing your interest. I’m willing to discuss some attractive commission possibilities, especially if you have a PayPal account in place. Previous purchasers who have offered testimonials are especially welcomed and will receive first consideration.
