Get a Redema for Freeeee!

One silver lining to this far-too-long-already recession is that people and businesses are deeply discounting or giving away things at an unprecidented rate. Of course, the hope is that word of mouth marketing will bring customers back for future purchases.

One example that I’ve recently enjoyed has been through a new Chipotle restaurant that has opened near us. My boys thought they didn’t like it based on a previous visit over a year ago, but I pushed this opportunity to try it again. We stood in line for free food and drinks for about 30 minutes the first time and about and hour the second (yes, they did this 2 days in a row!). Chipotle does little to no advertising — it is events like this that promote how good the food is there. I know now that my boys will go back — they changed their minds, and now say they love Chipotle! I confess I love Chipotle for this all the more, too, as it used to be I was the only one who enjoyed eating there.

Following Chipotle’s model, I would like to offer you a Redema at no cost save for the shipping and handling for one day. But, the catch is this — like Chipotle, I’m only holding this event for one day, probably only for a limited window in that 24 hour period. You want to know when it is? Look on the left side of this page. Do you see the “Enter your e-mail address” box? Just put your most frequently checked e-mail address, and then the day of the event, you should get my posting announcing the coupon code for the one day to get a Redema free!

Here’s a hint: August is Inventor’s Month. To celebrate, this event will be sometime in the first two weeks of August. So, tell your friends to visit http://RedemaLiving.com and sign up! Who wouldn’t enjoy a little comfort for free? Of course, I’m expecting you to help me get the word out about how wonderful the Redema is in return. Thanks in advance, and be sure to check your e-mail regularly in August!

Little Ears Expo with Z88.3

I’m heading out to visit the Little Ears Expo that Z88.3, our local Christian radio station, is sponsoring at the First Baptist Church of Orlando. It is being held right now at Faith Hall until 3pm today, Saturday, July 25th. More information about this event for mommies of young ones can be found here: http://zradio.org/index/promo/little_ears_expo/

Being that the Redema was originally designed to give this formerly pregnant mom some portable, adjustable relief from her swelling, or edema, I’m off to share my solution for discomfort, especially during that last trimester and after delivery. I’m offering a free shipping and handling coupon in honor of this event. Type in Z88lee in the coupon code by Monday, July 27th.

To your comfort — especially to moms of those with little ears! Hope I will or did meet you there at the Little Ears Expo!

Mini-Infomercial for the Redema

Here’s one way to see the Redema Ottoman Footrest in practical action — my nine-year old son Ian’s first mini-infomercial, demonstrating the Redema in his own way. (He’d like to dedicate this pitch to the memory of Billy Mays, his inspiration for him to try this. He loved watching Billy in “Pitchmen,” and his many commercials.)

Meet Me in Ft. Lauderdale

Here’s a video of me and many other product developers at the South Florida Inventor’s Expo back in February 2009. Watch the intro, and then either enjoy the full program of about 24 minutes (the ideas are definitely inspiring or entertaining), or go to about 5:11 on the counter to meet me, Karen Tinsley-Kim, Product Developer of the Redema Ottoman Footrest.

Christmas in July Sale

It is July, summer is in full force, and here in Florida it is hot, hot, HOT! So, how about relaxing during your vacation or staycation with a Redema Ottoman Footrest — kicking up your feet the way you want, perhaps enjoying a cold lemonade or refreshing beverage of your choice? Sounds nice, doesn’t it? (I enjoy continue to enjoy this pleasure everyday of resting my legs and feet with my Redema, even while I work!) Even better, how about sharing this restorative, lightweight, adjustable summer joy with someone you love?

It’s time for our Christmas in July Sale! Buy one Redema, get the 2nd one half off — that’s a savings of over $27. How cool is that for your wallet? Here’s to your comfort, and your loved one’s!

Comfort Even at a Mile High!

April 7, 2009

I just got back from a pleasant visit to Colorado for the first time. I was in Denver, the Mile High City, for the International TESOL 2009 Conference, and I was blessed to arrive before the snowstorm hit and fortunate to leave after the cleanup was done. The dry air and elevation was definitely a shock to the system for this now die-hard happy-with-humidity Floridian, but I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I didn’t say I found the change refreshing.

I also had an enviable view of downtown Denver, with the Capitol building in plain view nearby from my window. Being on the 19th floor made this especially nice! Seeing the city before the snow and then after was a treat I’ll never forget, too. Later in the week, I got to go to Loveland’s Pass which straddles the Continental Divide — too cold for words, but too cool to miss!
Of course, I traveled in style with my Redema Ottoman Footrest. I took it on the plane and to most of the meetings I attended, not to mention everywhere else for breaks! It was so great not to have to worry about where to put my legs — I avoided sitting in odd positions since my feet often don’t comfortably rest flat on the floor. Then when I got back to my hotel room to check my e-mail and Skype my family back in Florida, I had the support I craved after a long day of walking around downtown Denver. I believe my Redema made it so much easier for me to rest and maintain my energy during this busy trip!

I’m getting some interesting opportunities to promote the Redema, but I trust you will be among those who can say knew about this treat for the feet and legs before it went big.

Do Your Grown-up Short Legs Have You Feeling Like a Kid?

April 9, 2009
I just had a wonderful interview with Ken Bloemer from “Planet Eureka!” for a possible appearance on their show about my newly-patented Redema Ottoman Footrest.
During the interview, Ken commented that he hadn’t thought about the need for those of us with short legs to desire support when sitting, as he has long legs that don’t dangle when he sits down. I responded that it can be quite awkward sometimes for those of us with shorter legs to know how to not only sit properly, but even more importantly, comfortably and respectably.
An image from my childhood came to mind. I was sitting in the backseat of my dad’s brand new ‘69 Mustang as we drove off the car lot. Now, this was long before child seats existed, yet I remember being strapped in with my then little legs and feet stuck out straight in front of me. My feet hung slightly over the edge.
Of course, I remember how “cool” I felt I was, sitting back there along with my younger brother (who now has this car by the way). I was a kid sitting in the back of a new ‘69 Mustang. But now, as an adult when I find my legs are not touching the floor, they are just not long enough to just easily cross or curl around — I get tempted to sit cross-legged, pull one leg up or something to reduce the awkwardness, which rarely works.
In short, I feel like a kid. But as an adult, that isn’t cool anymore. No way!
I expressed this frustration to Ken, saying how the Redema not only allowed me the benefit of ergonomic comfort when sitting, I now feel more respectable. My feet aren’t dangling like a kid’s. Instead, they are secure, comfortable, and most importantly, not embarrassing or distracting. In fact, I think I look enviably “cool.” Perhaps even dignified.
I have three young boys of my own now. All three of them, especially my youngest, enjoy using a one-chambered-inflated Redema beneath their legs in our van so they don’t dangle. They also enjoy using the Redema that rests beneath our computer desks for the same reason. They are kids, but they don’t have to be frustrated with dangling legs either — not anymore.
I know over the years I’ve asked God more than once,”Why did you have to give me short legs?” Now I know at least part of His answer as I currently enjoy the personalized, versatile comfort of my Redema Ottoman Footrest, even as I write to you now. The discomfort and embarrassment of my short legs propelled me to get this problem solved for good.
I don’t feel like a kid anymore when I have my Redema along. I feel more like a diva, pampered and cared for — almost like royalty, with Her Majesty’s Footstool — only I get the honor of deciding where, when and how to rule over my comfort. Don’t settle for feeling like a juvenile when you sit. Feel like the adult you are in dignified comfort. Why don’t you join me today? Your inner kid will thank you for letting him/her feel truly grown up!
